I am an assistant professor in the
mathematics department
at
Virginia Tech
. Previously, I was a post-doctoral fellow in the
Institute for Quantum Computing
at the
University of Waterloo
. I received my PhD in 2018 from
Penn State University
, and my advisor was
Kirsten Eisenträger
. I am interested in cryptography, explicit methods in number theory, and definability and decidability in number theory. With
