I am an assistant professor in the mathematics department at Virginia Tech. Previously, I was a post-doctoral fellow in the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. I received my PhD in 2018 from Penn State University, and my advisor was Kirsten Eisenträger. I am interested in cryptography, explicit methods in number theory, and definability and decidability in number theory. With Daniel Orr and Milo Bechtloff Weising, I am coorganizing the algebra seminar at Virginia Tech. I currently serve as the chair of the Virginia Tech Mathematics Department colloquium.
